Get a CNC Machining Quote for Custom Parts and Products

One form for everything we make: CNC machining, 5-axis parts, sheet metal, surface finishing, assembly and finished OEM / ODM products. Send a drawing, a sketch or a few lines about what you need, and an engineer replies with an itemized price.

  • Engineer-reviewedEvery drawing is checked by a person, not an algorithm.
  • NDA on requestSign one before you share any files.
  • Itemized priceUnit price, tooling and lead time shown on separate lines.

Request a CNC Quote: RFQ Form for Parts and Products

Dayao’s RFQ (request for quotation) form covers every type of job: CNC machined parts, sheet metal parts, finished OEM/ODM products and factory visits. Pick a project type, upload a 3D model or drawing if you have one, add quantity, material and finish, then send. An engineer reviews every request by hand — there are no instant or automatic quotes — and replies with an itemized price.

From Quote to Delivery: What Happens Next

After you send a CNC machining quote request, Dayao follows five steps: engineer review of your files, an itemized quote, a contract or purchase order, sample approval, and production and shipping. Questions about unclear tolerances, threads or materials are asked before pricing, not after. Timing depends on the part, process and quantity, so dates are written into the quote and contract instead of being promised in advance.

    1. 1

      Engineer review

An engineer reads your files and notes. If something is unclear — a tolerance, a thread, a material — we ask before pricing, not after.

    2. 2

      Itemized quote

You get unit price, any one-off tooling, the finish and the lead time on separate lines, so you can compare options.

    3. 3

      Contract & order

When you accept the quote, we sign a contract or confirm your purchase order, with the price, delivery date and payment terms in writing.

    4. 4

      Sample approval

For new parts or products, Dayao makes a sample first. You check it and approve it before mass production starts.

    5. 5

      Production & shipping

Parts are made, inspected at IQC, IPQC and OQC checkpoints and packed, then shipped on the term you choose — FOB, EXW, CIF or DDP.

What to Send for an Accurate Quote

For an accurate CNC or sheet metal quote, send a 3D model (a STEP file is best) together with a 2D PDF drawing. The 3D model shows the shape; the 2D drawing carries tolerances, threads, surface finish and notes. Also state the material grade, finish, quantity per order and per year, and the critical tolerances. For an OEM product, photos, sketches or a reference product are enough to start.

    • Give sizes and sheet thickness in millimeters.
    • Mark only the critical tolerances — the rest can follow a general tolerance such as ISO 2768-m and cost less.
    • Name the material grade and finish, for example “aluminum 6061, black anodized”.
    • Tell us the quantity per order and per year — both change the price.
    • Note threads, inserts and any parts that must fit together.
File formats we accept for quotes

    Questions

RFQ Manufacturing FAQ: Quotes, NDAs and File Formats

These answers cover what buyers ask most before sending an RFQ to Dayao: what an RFQ is, NDAs, quoting without drawings, why there are no instant online quotes, how the price is calculated, minimum order quantity and accepted file formats. In short, an engineer reviews every drawing, an NDA can be signed first, and single prototypes are welcome for machined and sheet metal parts.

    01

    What is an RFQ?

An RFQ (request for quotation) is a request a buyer sends to one or more suppliers asking for a price on a clearly defined item. In manufacturing, an RFQ usually includes drawings or 3D models, material, quantity, surface finish, tolerances and the required delivery date; each supplier replies with a quotation showing unit price, tooling, lead time and terms. An RFQ differs from an RFI (request for information), which only gathers facts, and an RFP (request for proposal), which asks suppliers to propose a solution. The form on this page is Dayao’s RFQ.

    02

Do you sign an NDA before I send drawings?

Yes. Tick the NDA box in the form and Dayao sends an NDA for you to sign before you share any files.

    03

Can I get a quote without drawings?

For a finished product, yes — photos, a sketch or a product you want to improve are enough to start an OEM / ODM discussion. For parts, a 3D model or drawing gives a firm price; without it we can only estimate.

    04

Do you offer instant online quotes?

No. An engineer reviews every drawing, because tolerances, threads and finishes change the price in ways an automatic tool misses. It takes a little longer and avoids surprises later.

    06

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No fixed minimum for machined and sheet metal parts — single prototypes are fine. For product OEM, the minimum depends on the tooling. OEM 起订量待核实

    07

Which file formats do you accept?

Dayao accepts STEP, IGES, X_T, SLDPRT, STL, PDF, DWG, DXF, JPG, PNG, ZIP and RAR files. For the most accurate quote, send a 3D model (STEP preferred) plus a 2D PDF drawing.
